It is fascinating to see the process of Mutahi's transformation;
Before he used to be a great writer, giving us insights to political games and thinking in Kenya.
With his use of stories, allegories he opened our eyes to the political machinations of the political elite at the time.
Then the famous interview, where he divulged the game of numbers; Adam oloo was flabbergasted he never expected the blow when it came and true Machiavellian style ngunyi struck and oloo was left gasping for air.
i have always assumed oloo thought ngunyi was with him, independent and albeit a supporter of Raila but it seems ngunyi just lulled him into thinking this and that led to cord floundering to gain these "numbers" and gave jubilee its needed rationale to win.
From what i observed of sakaja on air i don't think they paid ngunyi to say these things but rather it was his own research (and i stand to be corrected) and as a respected scholar it really did hit hard.
Then the money came in and our fountain of knowledge changed.
i don't blame him, we are all human and all want the finer things in life but sadly now he as joined the ranks of Proff makau where what they say does not matter to us and will always sound like the rantings of an extremist.
