I agree, it's alarming but am sure not all of us are shocked. let's admit it: we saw this one coming, PEV was not put off completely, we just simmered it and now its about to hit boiling Point, God help Kenya..

@Fundaah,
Buying a gun anywhere in Kenya is not a big deal anymore due to laxity of our security.You might be the odd one out in your neighborhood.

This story came up last year so their is nothing new these jicho pevu guys are telling us. We need to ask what the government did about what was reported then.

My real fear is that the constitution passes with 47 armed tribal regional governments and an imperial president who can supervise a genocide(remember where the revege attacks in Naivasha were allegedly planned as per the Kenya human rights report to Ocampo?).This will be a recipe for a disaster.Its too early to laugh at Somalia.

lets put it plainly..
at the height of PEV's some community leaders swore it shall never happen again to their community.. how? we dont know,or are now about to know.
at this news the arms race began...

there is still a cache that was arriving from somali during the PEV.. stories of its whereabouts and owners have just sunk and quietened...

but i still believe there will be no serious war come 2012.. as long as the middle class is big enuff and the aristocrats are comfortable.. the poor we can always kill ourselves, right? How much worth are we anyway?

Would the PEV come to pass had RAO been declared winner? Anyway, kenyans should know that the absence of war, does not necessarily mean there is peace...

Following the aftermath of 2007, dnt see any serious war. Who wants to keep dreading a certain envelope anyway?

I am not surprised, Maybe in a good way this is happening. such that when 2012 comes and you decide to go attack someone...you will be met by an equal force. You can't blame the people arming themselves. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. No one is willing to be a sitting duck and wait on the goodness of the 2 Principals, MPigs or Ocampo or any other person exterior to them for protection.

If this is what majority of Kenyans think ..then is there any need of investing here?...what will you do with the arms if we have a smooth transition come 2012?

Btw Ruto has gone very quiet since if was 'suspended'. I think if is silently mobilising his 'grassroots' to revenge on RAO and God knows who else.

Good fellaz,

Once again this is one of those 'news' items the editors of Standard Group call news. They add no value to viewers but only raise emotions of fear, rebellion and retalliation.

For those who have watched the series, please correct me if I am wrong.

KTN = always useless journalism!

Disappointed by the depth of this feature. This was a shallow re-hashing of what the BBC did last year.
