KODI is the software,
KODI runs on a variety of hardware platforms including android smartphones, PCs but my favourite is a dedicated android smart tv box.

you definitely can connect the device on a smart-TV.
However, its generally not possible to install KODI software on most smart-tv because the manufactures do not allow that functionality.

Nice, currently watching Arsenal-Chelsea on my laptop. I have installed Kodi and by researching on the internet I came across an add-on called SportsDevil which allows one to watch sports live, including football.

Now let Multichoice continue with their arrogance...I'm soo prepared to throw my annual subscription(about 40k) into some god hardware.

Quick questions,which brands are guys buying/available locally?
Been trying to get information on the best one in terms of:
1.specs/quality
2.value for money.
3.adaptability

looks like DroidBOX T8 is the best specs-wise(costs about/upwards of 80 - 105 sterling pounds on ebay.co.uk)**biggest plus for me is the CVBS port hence i could use my old TV set.

Tonbux MXQ on the other hand is listed as best value for money.(reasonably priced at 25 - 80 sterling pounds on ebay.co.uk)

What are your experiences and are there any advantages of getting the one with a keyboard?

@ tobz what brands do you have in stock and what does the hardware package/specs include?

installed the MOBDRO app on my android phone and used the screen mirroring feature to connect to my tv thus eliminating the need to buy a set top box, DSTV bye bye

The advantage of having a keyboard is that it makes the typing less tedious as opposed to using the remote.

Try Husham repo,it is one repo that has a combo of numerous addons very useful for anyone who doesn't want to add the different addons one by one.

i have been using xbmc for years and it sure never fails. Its new rebirth as kodi is great as it brings new features and performance improvements. For those wazuans using linux on most stable distributions it is still labelled as xbmc. I dont know how many wazuans use linux but hope it helps someone.
