Too bad froome out of Tour de France 2014Sad

Defending champion Chris Froome has pulled out of the Tour de France after crashing twice on stage five

Seems odd, he's crashed 3 times in 2 days

Yep the british media will eat him alive if they suspect anything.
His close buddy recently failed a drug test

They were team-mates on the Barloworld team, and the Kenyan-born Briton said he was shocked that close friend Impey, who became the first African to don the leader's maillot jaune for two stages last year, had tested positive for the masking agent Probenecid

Is there any cycling expert on this bored?
Besides equipment, what hinders Kenya's endurance athletes from excelling at this sport?
To me cycling looks like 90% endurance which means second rate Kenyan runners who cannot win city marathons can quit athletics, take up cycling and excel. If not Peloton then Kenyans should be winning medals at the AAG

perhaps the cost of "ancilliary" products is too expensive for a majority of budding cyclists

I think the cost of a good professional bike that can compete in those tour de's is no less the half a million, add other accessories and very few can afford it. But i think Chris can use his popularity to start like a foundation or support one that is already existing like safari simbaz to fund raise and support budding professionals to the highest level, after all he partly owes his skills to them
