She told on her attackers, but her rapists were initially sentenced to cut grass around the courthouse.
And what is a 12 year old who is married off to 45 year old to do when she has not reached the age of consent, and has an undeveloped body? who does she tell? and the toddler defiled by a neighbor in the estate? or the woman in the DRC for whom rape is used as a weapon against her people? And the woman from cultures where family/husband reject women who are raped? You get the picture......I hope.
