Kumbe the culprit who was told off by POTUS is RAO? I am shocked. The CIA never forgets.

Mr Ranneberger's comments drew immediate anger from Raila Odinga, Kenya's prime minister.

issues that deal with governance and transparency is in bad taste," Mr Odinga said.

I have listened to the comment again and now I believe it is RAO who was told off. Here are my reasons:-

1) POTUS used the word "him" while referring to the person. POTUS is not like other Kenyans who keep interchanging "him" and "her".

2) The first part of the statement was "I talked to your opposition leaders then he quickly added people not in government. I guess he remembered that he had just forgotten to include the person he was about to talk about.

Listen to the comment again.

I have always insisted that we need a strong opposition to keep the government in check and on toes but this our opposition has totally lost the plot!!!

The Obama visit and comments have just put the last nail on the opposition's coffin. Short of a miracle of biblical proportions the 2017 (or whenever) presidential elections will just be a corronation. No way Raila (or anyone else) is going to beat Uhuru! I don't even know who will fund the opposition. Anyone with ideas.

It is sad because with government knowing there is no realistic challenge, it might slacken. With a tainted and confused opposition, there might also be a tendency of those in government to engage in corruption, nepotism etc.

I really hope the opposition can reorganize and re-strategize. We NEED a strong opposition. Not a bunch running around like headless chicken!!!

Good to see Uhuru's succession plan is rolling along. Did you see young Muhoho being introduced to POTUS who spent a few moments chatting with him though am sure he probably was hoping the girls were coming too.

There is a reason why politics run in families. When a child grows up in an environment when meeting world leaders is part of his childhood experiences you can be sure their world view is not like that of an ordinary mwananichi.

That is the exposure any responsible parent should allow their kids to at the slightest opportunity.... The self confidence that such an encounter can build in a kid is be immeasurable.

I was telling someone this morning who was so sure it was Kalonzo that it could even be Raila akakataa

I remember this time when Running Burger was even said to be sponsoring middle class and youth initiatives to look for alternative leadership away from the political class that was that time headed by Raila as Kibaki was retiring.

They were said to have considered Atwoli as a probable Presidential candidate
