I remember years back there was an "investor" lady who came to Kenya looking for opportunities to invest "Billions of shillings". The Daily Nation run the story of the billionaire business woman in town. She even had an interview on Nation TV. That bought her legitimacy. Wacha the con job began! She conned business men, ministers, senior government officials etc., didn't pay her hotel bills and disappeared!!! I think even the late Joseph Kamotho was conned. Most victims did not come forward for fear of looking stupid yet they were senior officials and "captains of industry"!

The Queen of Sheba from some Caribbean country(was it Trinidad?)

Enyewe conmen have guts! You con a whole country, its media and leaders.
Laughing out loudly smile Applause d'oh! Sad Drool Liar Shame on you Pray

The operative phrase is "get a good lawyer", they don't come cheap, and if you've lost money the last thing you want is a lawyer sending you a bill. And of course saving yourself the embarrassment.

Even akina Kabuffalo and Sonko are not safe (in the long run) Tax liability never expires, the taxman waits, watching, taking notes, and one day the godfathers exit the scene, and he strikes,...Mutula Kilonzo could have told them a story or two when he was alive.

True, hiyo pesa yao Italiwa na corrupt KRA officials or the tax man will definitely get a huge piece of the pie when these fellows no longer have godfathers and political patronage to protect them. Ama pesa ipelekwe numbered accounts in the caymans Islands! That is why idiot politicians are ready to shed blood of innocent Kenyans because they know what losing that power means!!! You could lose almost everything in a heartbeat. Or keep the people currently in power well "renumerated" or they press some buttons!!!!
