This one will be boring for some of you but after watching Men who built America, I can't help but wonder if the same theorem was applied to Kenya who would make it on the list. The American list comprised of

1. J P Morgan .... Banking and Finance
2. Cornelius Vanderbilt ... Rail road empire
3. John D Rockefeller .... Standard Oil
4. Andrew Carnegie ......US Steel

JP Morgan later on finances Thomas Edison to came up with the electric light bulb --getting into the space of Rockefeller who was then reaping big from selling kerosene. Rockefeller tired of paying big money to Vanderbilt (transportation of oil/kerosene using the rail road), the invents the oil pipeline and this rivalry gave birth to what is now corporate America. Some guy called vaseline took the by product/waste, from the oil refining and produced an ointment that would heal wounds fast.

These fellas later united to fund the president who was elected in 1896 to represent their interests.

Who would make it to the Kenyan list
Here is my imagination

1. Finance - James Mwangi Banking and Finance--
2. Manufacturing - Manu chandaria
3. Trade - Chris Kirubi

Hawa wamefanya nini to be remembered? At 50 Kenya is not young. There exists several documentaries about Bill Gates and Warren Buffet yet they still live. Hillary Ng'eno created "Makers of a Nation" the political program and no one claimed its early for it. In Kenya there are those who've left a legacy, the likes of Nelson Muguku Njoroge ...

Lol the men who tried building Kenya did not get to finish before the men destroying Kenya started on it, explains why instead of growing we are just fixing what is already there, like replacing a railway, expanding thika raod, we should be building new roads, like an alternative road to mombasa?
