Gatlin seem to be back on diesel, Bolt seem to be avoiding him, Bolt has not run the times he is clocking in 100M since 2012!!!

Bolt is over the hill and cannot beat Gatlin who has discovered a new substance. In fact Bolt was at his peak in 2008 and 2009 and has been declining since then.

Most track athletes are at their peak for a period of 3 to 4 years after which they decline.

Gatlin on the other hand is 33 yet he is running faster than he did in his early twenties when he was busted for doping. This is a clear sign that Gatlin is on some kinda undetectable dope. Perhaps microdosing.

You can take this to the bank (HSBC) if you wish and you will get a loan, if Gatlin races Bolt a record will be broken and I will place my money on Bolt doing it, he has been avoiding him yes but remember he clocked the best time in 200M recently

Eeeh ??
Gatlin has the best 200m time in the world this year (19.68)
Bolt's best 200m time this year is 20.13 which places him in 8th position, only one hundredth of of a second faster than Carvin Nkanata of Kenya.
At this rate Bolt may not win a medal in Beijing. Even in the relays, Jamaica is looking bad.

So british athletics wants to examine Mo blood record.Funny he lowered his 10K best by 43sec the moment he joined the salazar group in oregon..hapa iko maneno

Realistically it's hard to see how he can be clean. His coach is doping athletes. His teammates are doped up. He's the only clean one in the Salazar stable?.......he is now a marked man!!!

I suspect that the reason why bolt has not been flaming the track is because of his party life. Bolt's neighbour is Sean Paul, the wife calls Bolt a neighbour from hell.

Or maybe it is simply because of natural progression. As I said above, most track athletes are at their peak for only about 3-4 years. There is a natural wear and tear that happens because of all the extreme training that athletes do. This especially applies to sprinters. Unlike football, even a small injury that does not heal properly can make the difference between being a medal contender and failing to qualify for the Olympics. That is unless they are doping with human growth hormone. This is likely the fate that has also befallen Rudisha aka "Zongisa". We saw his best between 2009 and 2012. We likely will not see him at 1:41 again. As for Bolt we likely will not see him below 9.80.

@ Alba, that may be one reason. I think another reason maybe just lack of motivation. Running is a solo sport, you are not passing anything to any one, there is no winning when you have not put in your best, there is no shared glory. Messi does not have to shine the whole 90 minutes of a game nor does he need to for his team to win. He can have a few bad passes, a few misses he can even have a few bad games in a season and still be part of and a star of a winning team.

In athletics you must be at your best to win 100% of the time, a bad day results in 100% defeat. You can only have the willpower to be at that level everyday for so long. The physical and mental pressure takes their toll after a while. After you have got what you want which for most people is money the motivation to train and be at your very best all the time just diminishes.

A classic tale is this beautifully told story about Daniel Komen:
