STATEMENT BY ERIC NG'ENO IN RESPONSE TO HERBERT OJWANG'S PRESS CONFERENCE
It has come to my attention that Mr Herbert Ojwang held a Press conference yesterday 4th June, 2015. In that conference, Mr Ojwang expressed his intention to sue me and several others for defaming him "during different TV interviews".
To the best of my recollection, I have never defamed Ojwang in any manner whatsoever. Granted, I have called him a conman, racketeer, crook and several other accurate epithets. My sincere views on Herbert Ojwang are entirely based on information that he volunteered unsolicited to the public domain.
I am reluctant to discuss Ojwang's intellectual stature or indeed the quality of his encounter with formal education. Even so, I would have thought that at the very least, his 'team of prominent lawyers' should have counselled him on defamation and libel as causes of actions. It is difficult to see how a man who pulls off the sort of depraved escapades that Ojwang prides in can expect to enjoy substantial esteem in the minds of right thinking members of the public. I am quite sure that his reputation amongst the brokers, wheeler-dealers, influence peddlers, extortionists and kickback racketeers who wantonly infest our public sphere must be formidable indeed. But I will not preempt the judicial process Ojwang proposes to activate.
What I will do is to readily and without any reservation whatsoever welcome Ojwang to institute his action against me without delay. I am extremely keen on using the court process to clarify Ojwang's career in the looting, or conspiracies towards looting of public funds, the structural aspects and models of various schemes to steal public resources, the personnel executing these conspiracies and the whole roster of beneficiaries, masterminds and accomplices of such plots. Indeed, Ojwang has openly and boldly stipulated that he was mainly an errand boy for important public figures whose credentials can do with a little more interrogation. I am delighted at the prospect of Ojwang's fool's errand actually yielding some public benefit after all.
For this reason, I encourage Ojwang to urge his 'team of prominent lawyers' to move with the swiftest dispatch and institute suit against me. I promise to promptly enter an appearance. My defence will be led by Miguna Miguna Esq. and Gregory Mutai, Esq. My address for purposes of service in Mr Ojwang's contemplated suit shall be:-

I just love the English. I wish this Ojwang broker sues Ngeno, I will miss work to listen to Ngeno weaving the Queen's language.

I feel like corruption is currently at its highest level in the history of Kenya! Higher even than in Moi's time!!!

I know we have more avenues to get information nowadays and the freedoms are more as compared to Moi's days but it still feels like we have more corruption cases nowadays and the figures involved are ridiculously high. A billion here, 5 there, 10 here etc.

During Moi's days, people could discuss Goldenberg for a couple of years. Nowadays you are lucky to get a week. Scandals are coming thick and fast!!!

I read either the Nation or Business Daily on a certain day last week and there were three or four NEW major corruption cases reported (both corporate and public sector) starting with the 9 Billion Nyaga Tatu city case!!!
