Ati resign to save your integrity?. If you are 78yrs old, past your prime, with no prospects of any other prime position in society, then what are you resigning to save?? (may be your kids)

I makes sense to fight to the last drop. If this was a younger man, then perhaps you can say he can resign to save his integrity for some other position in future. Its not in Kiplagat's interest to resign therefore..so he has to be pushed out
