Hi Guys

Please help here...is there a way of boosting a poor 3G signal? I am now living deep a in rural area where the safaricom base station is far from my house. No other network provider is available? How can I boost the poor 3G signal so I don't have to rely on Edge?

Thanks in advance

I saw this video posted by an Indian and tried it (2012-2013) out and it worked that was before i managed to buy a router with a sim card slot.I bought a plastic fruits dish and lined in on the inner surface with aluminium foil (readily available in supermarkets).

The router has a provision for an external aerial. The aerial is connected on the SMA port.
Safaricom no longer sells the routers but Orange have them in their shops. You can however get one at a cheaper rate on OlX, get one on OLX and I will help you unlock it for free.

@geofrey, where will I get the aerial from? Safaricom told me they dont sell them. The guys at Huawei suggest that I should buy a 4G modem...that it is better...
