When you carry out a coup you should make damn sure that it is 100% successful otherwise you are dead meat.

That theory looks far fetched and risky what if backfires on you.Already the southafricans were offering nkurunziza asylum when the coup was ongoing

I was of the same opinion. Guy is under pressure because of wanting to run for a 3rd term. So create a crisis, while with other heads of EA states, get them to condemn the coup, then arrest the coup leaders. Win sympathy votes and return home a hero and run for a 3rd term. It is all too convenient.

If it is true, then it is another example of why and how cataclysmic events should be manufactured and used to promote and entrench a particular perspective that is not necessarily popular. ... the State has the supreme right against the individual, whose supreme duty is to be a member of the State... - The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich

After listening to both sides i have come up ro one conclusion. Ellections should be held and nkuruz should be let to run for a second term as an ellected president. You cant count his first term because he was not ellected but chosen by a small gang of people. Whoever thinks they can topple him should conduct a peacefull campaign and do it through the ballot. Politics is just things to keep the people divided and foolish and put your trust in men and none of them can do nothing for you...

Why? Is he too popular or is it the advantage of the incumbency? If he is unpopular as they claim, then he is going to loose if he runs.
