We do not need to twist this one for whatever reason. The fact is, Nairobi County Government failed the children and a lot of its citizens.

write this with a very heavy heart. Last night at around 9.30 pm a Makini school bus was swept away by the heavy floods just past the bridge connecting Nairobi West and South C. Inside the bus were 21 kids desperately waiting to be rescued. One kid was asmatic and desperately needed an inhaler, this obviously made the rescue even more urgent. The floods were raging as some gallant members of the public came together and coordinated a brave rescue effort. It took 7 hours of fighting the floods in perilous circumstances and we finally made sure that the kids we all rescued. As all this unfolded there was no site of any government officials despite the incident happening in a relatively easy to access Nairobi West area. Worse still the sonko rescue team is unfairly trying to take the credit for the rescue while they only arrived at the scene at 5.00 am after all the kids had been rescued. It is unfortunate that people can hunt for glory using someone's unfortunate circumstances. Maybe sonko rescue team do a lot of good but the truth is that they took no part in this rescue and hence should stop lying about it.
