Of late, we've been rather negative about Kenya football. All this negativity towards Kenyan football, the national team and clubs while praising Europe is actually detrimental to football. So how about a discussion of what is going on in Kenya football in 2015. There isa lot going on.
- The draw for AFCON 2017 is out. Kenya has been grouped with Congo-Brazza, Guinea Bissau and Zambia.
- FKF recently signed a lucrative 270 million deal for sponsorship of the national team. This is in addition to the 202 million they got for the FKF league. So this time they have no excuse not to prepare the national team.
- Insurance company Britam has recently poured sh 100 million for naming rights of Nyayo stadium.
- Mathare United signed a sponsorship deal with sk 75 million. The highest any Kenyan club has ever received.
- KPL is heating up and shaping up to be yet another battle between Gor Mahia and AFC.

According to FIFA, the league will become an 18 team league starting next year and it will be run by FKF. By June, both parties are supposed to agree on a framework regarding how many teams will be promoted and how many demoted. Where it will become interesting is the fight over TV rights. KPL teams want Supersport. FKF wants Azam. This will be the next fight. What I find interesting is that a Tanzanian company is capable of offering a better deal than a South African company who televises sports all over Africa and perhaps Europe and Oceania.

Quality was not the reason Kenya lost. Kenya has as much quality as Botswana or more. Other factors intervened Link

The last time the senior team, Harambee Stars played a competitive or otherwise match was 30 August, 2014 against Egypt. A friendly game in Aswan, Egypt. We went down by a solitary goal. Kwani Nyamweya and his team wanafanya nini kwa ofisi the whole day, week, month...? People close to him, wamuulize. So that former Ugandan, Gor coach analipwa bure ama?

On KPL Some like Sober are sure Ingwe will win league. Evidence suggests that Kogalo are on course for another title barring a catastrophy. This is their best start in decadesThe wild card however is Mathare United. Ever since they got the Ksh 75 million sponsorship, they have been red hot. They will strengthen their side in June and could very well win the title they last won in 2007. What is comical however is how Shabana were promoted to the top league by hook and crook. Now they are in 7th place in the FKF league. Will Nyamweya perform those shenanigans again to get Shabana promoted?

I still believe AFC leopards are the 2015 League champions and that G** Mahia will cool down once complacency sets in hapo mbele. Mathare may be on form but i doubt they have he mental strength of winning the league but will finish in the Top 8 then next year try repeating what they did in 2008 Shabana were helped i dont see them surviving if they cannot win in the diluted FKF league how would they have faired in the KPL, worse than Nakuru allStars African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'
