The fact that the winner was perceived to be seeking the Mpigship so as to use it as a stepping stone to governorship effectively put Kabogo on the ballot as far as Kabete people are concerned. How do you explain a complete stranger to a constituency winning by such a margin. At least the other candidates have residences and or business interest in the place (the fact that most of them did not register as voters in the constituency notwithstanding).

Disclosure; I would like to see Kabogo far away from the Governors office but I do not think Waititu is the answer. He was not the ideal candidate in Nairobi and neither will he be one in Kiambu. Kwani Kiambu imerogwa?

Waititu...is a leader connected to his supporters by purpose.

Why would he not make a gover

Perhaps the same reason he did not make it in Nairobi. But I can see an opportunity for the likes of Nyoro. With Waititu and Kabogo on the ballot, their followers (and I believe they share many), would be divided into two. Chama ndio shinda.

Even if Kabogo rigs himself to JAP, he will go home. That's the difference between Central and Nyanza politics. You can take that to the bank!
