Been struggling to understand the basis for most of the arguments here, till I re-read the header.

By the way - for those who missed the match... it's being rerun on Cartoon Network and Boomerang in place of Tom and Jerry... DSTV reckon that the match is just the right kind of stuff you need to show kids - in addition to all the never ending chasing that happens in both shows - the hugging your opponent thing adds what will be a positive influence to kids!
By the way na kama hauna DSTV... you can get a copy from river road saa hii

I don't want to watch all of it. Just the highlights even though I read from people it was 'boring'. Zinapatikana wapi?

@Jus Blazin, i have boxed at Amateur level. Probably have watched more videos than you :)

Then something is wrong with you, that's why you stopped, or were stopped. Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Because your analysis of the legends is waaaaayyyy off. This match was a snoozer. It will be remembered though, for the marketing hype. But twas an ordinary one...

Why don't you write down your own analysis, so that we can argue from that poin? To write that my analysi is wrong, without providing yours is cheap and anybody can write exactly that :)

The first two posts by @Freiks (On boring part) and @Mcreggae (On how it will be won) were on point. The match was as IronMike put it underwhelming to say the least; Its not something I personally anticipated after waiting of the much hyped bout.Would want to respect FullyKenya's opinion but.....nah

Am not soliciting for your respect. Your respect doesn't pay my bills :)

Naah. Just read widely. Like @254 said, someone may want to respect your opinion, but... That should tell you something. Oh, watch Sugar Ray Leonard vs Thomas Hearns 1981, one of the greatest boxing matches ever. Then give me a classic Mayweather match. Any.

The boxing promoters hate Mayweather because he refused to be exploited by them, preferring to negotiate his own deals himself and bank the money, unlike other boxers who get paid upfront and make almost nothing from the publicity their fights generate. The promoters, and their overlords, mostly white, have launched a heavy media campaign against Mayweather, and unfortunately, even blacks have bought into the propaganda.

@Jus Blazin, first let me begin by thank you ,for drawing my attention to that fight. To be honest, i have never watched it that comprehensively, like i did today. I concur, it was a brilliant show from both boxers.i also admit Sugar Ray Leonard was awesome to watch. However, i find Mayweather more brilliant than Sugar Ray. Floyd doesnt allow himself to be punished, because he realised ,the less blows you take, the longer you can last not only in the ring ,but also in the entire career. Dont forget Pacman is a southpaw and southpaws are really hard to fight against. However, Floyd made Pacman look ordinary. This is an art everybody has to appreciate. However, i know you may have never stepped in a ring and most probably you dont understand the dangers a southpaw poses. Since you seem to love brawlers, have a look at Floyd vs Hatton. Hatton fought both Floyd and Pacman and he said before the fight that Floyd will be too intelligent for pacman...... ps. I am not moved by opinion of others about my opinion.

If Floyd was white. We would have read in those white owned media, of how intelligent and brilliant he is. They would not hesitate to write of his tactical discipline and hard work in the gym. They would flood us with his tough negotiating skills. But he is Black. He can only be a thug. They are probably wondering why he doesnt sit somewhere in a prison. TBE

Just as the fight did not compare with those of yore, the manner of the victory holds him back from the company of such as Sugar Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard and Joe Louis.

And I asked you to mention a classic Floyd match. Remember, I said FM is a defensive genius, has ring intelligence, but...

Yep, watch FM vs Jab Judah, FM vs Macquez and FM vs Miguel Cotto. Infact watch both FM and MP vs this 3.

Ricky Hatton was not upto it but was overhyped by the Brits.

Firstly because He is a wife beater.

And one time he was being asked by a black radio station why he never donates to charity and he said he does not belieive in helping others and only makes money for himself. This is no joke, I actually listened to the interview on radio.

Miguel Cotto made Floyd admit, Miguel was the hardest nut to crack for him. However, i chose Hatton as a typical brawler and Show guys, that Floyd also knows how to take care of brawlers too.
