Nominated MP Oburu Oginga, who is the elder brother of the Cord leader, said the family will not object to the appointment of Dr Wenwa Akinyi Odinga as a member of the Kenya Medical Research Institute board since she is a professional. But Dr Oginga said the appointment should not be turned into a political affair. He said Dr Wenwa has rich experience in both public and private sectors and has a lot to offer. At the same time, the Orange Democratic Party said individuals picked by President Kenyatta had no capacity and moral authority to transform parastatals (except Dr. Wenwa Odinga).
