The very worst of the worst is kajiado governor, Ole nkedienye. Seems he has already figured out he will be a one term governor and he isn't bothered to say the least.

He is the only one performing worse than the local authority he replaced. Olekajuado county council used to try to collect garbage once a week in the main towns I.e. rongai, kitengela, ngong, kiserian. Now it no longer happens.

If this is true, then how come the noise is only coming from one direction?

In Kiambu the whole mess was caused by the county assembly-some blackmail to do with allowances for the MCA's foreign trips to Timbuktu or so I heard. We are dealing with a strange creatures down there Sad

Ngani said Mombasa, Busia and Kiambu counties have not paid their health workers โ€œeven a centโ€of July salaries while Machakos and Uasin Gishu have made partial payments with only allowances remaining. He however said the rest of the counties have paid their workers.

โ€œKiambu, Mombasa and Busia have developed policies of not paying their doctors. They have not made any attempts to tell the doctors the progress on how they will be paid,โ€ Ngani said.
Really sad...Devolution of health services was the worst mistake ever made, with this monsters in place it won't be good.

Surely there ought to be some form of reward and punishment for the these cownty pumpkins
The last 10 should get a public lashing on their behinds

In an unrelated question which county shall make history and etext the first Governess ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜† just asking for a friend

A new survery that measured public perception on the success of devolution

Quote:
Machakos emerged as the overall winner, with a total score of 61.5 per cent in the poll that surveyed some 28,000 people.

Coming a close second was Bungoma County, with a rating of 60.3 per cent, followed by Vihiga, in third place.

Others that ranked highly among the 47 counties were Bomet, Kwale, Elgeyo Marakwet, Taita-Taveta, Kisii, West Pokot, Kakamega, Kericho, Murangโ€™a, Nandi, Uasin Gishu and Mombasa.

Overall, counties that had implemented highly visible projects scored highly. Conversely, counties where governors and members of county assemblies were involved in political wrangles, and where MCAs have been threatening to impeach governors, performed poorly.

Very sad that only one county from Nyanza(Kisii) and Central(Muranga) were perceived to be the among the top 15 best performing counties or is it that the expectations of devolution in Nyanza and Central was too high?

Why not do analysis based on hard facts e.g revenue collected by county per capita,% funds spent on devpt, on education, transition rates from primary to secondary? Anyone with PC can produce a 'survey' like the one in the papers today-in a couple of minutes. We expect alot of crap in lead up to 2017
