The Group's 2014 financial statements were published on 20 March 2015..........after the announcement and publication of the results, the auditors advised the Board of an issue with respect to the measurement of the carrying value of a local associate company...... the Board has considered the advice and restated the financial statements resulting in a reduction in the previously reported profit after tax by Shs 342 million...

Hii ni mchezo.

So PAT grew a mere 7.86% smile Enyewe business in 2014 haikuwa ya m*** ya NSE firms.

Toa 342m kwanza

and that these are the same guys who want share buybacks legalized.... if they were to value their companies we would have outrageous valuations on hot air

This restatement is a pace setter.Soon companies will be restating by 1 billion or more!

The mauratian govt is going to take ownership of the the 24%

If that news bite is true britam's largest shareholder becomes the Mauritius govt without an EGM?? Also big fish (Dawood) resignation is still pending. The upcoming AGM will be tense. The ongoing drama is not something that the board can easily wish away. The restating of accounts is already highlighting the pressure cooker conditions.

But will cma really corner britam with direct relationships at the apex on both sides? Conflict of interest et al. How will a son take down daddy? Very murky situation, but makes for intense drama...

I have a feeling that big guys of centum smelled ddanger from a distance and tthat's why the shares were disposed quick and poor wanjiku was hanging on without knowing what was coming. J. Mbaru also disposed some % during that same ttime. WWanjiku didn't know why. The truth is finally out

Good. I like good drama. Should be better than CMC. Next AGM shouting contest. Refusal to adopt board proposals coming up. The volatility in this counter will be interesting. Whiplash price action will crash speculators.
