Offer incentives, for police to abhor corruption- if you do research why police are corrupt, you will perhaps find it is the ‘small’ things like paying school fees for their children. The govt could develop a policy to provide free schooling for their children below 18yrs, so long as they are enrolled in public schools. This way you give the police a reason to abhor corruption, as it could lead to dismissal and loss of benefits.

Some good points. I disagree with the one above. School fees is not the issue. Kenyans are just greedy and we have a culture of corruption. The way to end corruption is not to pay school fees. Thats just an excuse. Fighting corruption starts at the top. When you start investigating people thoroughly and sending them to prison for corruption, you will soon see the occurrence of corruption falling. Plant undercover investigators at traffic stops. If a cop asks for a bribe, arrest him on the spot.

@alba, For petty corruption maybe. Problem with big chicken corruption is that it's done clandestine, how to ensure you get the evidence and ensure its is foolproof is the problem. Lawyers, rogue judges, Civil society, shabaab etc would b happy with court procecesses

My two cents:
1. Firm special squads to deal with lical AS cladestinely by elimination of all known operatives, financiers, recruiters, imams, corrupt civil servants and known sleeper recruits and cell members.
2. Declare terror a national crisis and direct adequate human and material resources directly involving the PORK.
3. Discard the marginalisation and radicalization narrative from official government position in all matters terrorism.

The problem in Kenya is impunity. There are no consequences even for those who are caught.

If you start throwing culprits in jail, people will straigten up. But it takes a principled president with will power to do so.

Corruption goes all the way up to the Vice Present. If the VP is corrupt then what do you expect from those below him? Our tribal society and tribal voting is the root cause of this. Kenya is doomed because we Kenyans have put a premium on tribal voting. Our tribalism is literally killing us, impoverishing us and making us unsafe.

so... just thinking aloud here... why don't we... give these people whatever they are promised in the hereafter here and now? so that it beats the purpose of killing themselves? everyone has a price!

Takes me a while back when i asked a young Muslim friend of mine what the spot on "their" forehead signifies.....and he told me that, once up there after death, that spot will shine forever and so they will not require any lighting. This gaament then, can save the fellows the pain they undergo banging their heads on the floor just to get a silly dark "lamp". Provide them with free solar lamps.Damn!!
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

@makali you've raised weighty matters. I have noted most Muslim dominated countries have banned Christianity, none of the Western countries have done similar. My other observation is that in dark ages, Muslims ruled over the world as a collosus, simply because Christians were peasants ( not interested in external affairs ), whereas Muslims were merchants and used to travel widely. The equation only changed with discovery of new route to India as well as discover of America, the economic and military power shifted to west. Recently, As Christian countries become more affluent, they discard religion. Are we likely to see more of Islam going forward and what can we do since banning a whole religion is impossible these days of civil rights?

I believe POLITICAL CORRECTNESS is one of the greatest impediments to eliminating terrorism. People are afraid of speaking out against Islamic brutality lest they offend the Muslims. By trying to appear "diplomatic, civilized" those who practice political correctness are actually abetting a silent genocide that is going on right now all over the world.

Take a look at the murder of those satirists at Charlie Hebdo. Were their killings per Islamic doctrine? Absolutely! Sharia Law doctrine states that anyone who mocks Islam or Mohammed deserves death. Why did secular media bow down to pressure? Not one newspaper re-printed those cartoons for fear of offending Muslims. Truth has become the new HATE SPEECH. Right in our backyard, we have seen our own people massacred for not saying the Shahada. Why won't the media address the biggest elephant in the room? That at the heart of Islam is the determination to annihilate our democratic system and impose their Sharia Law by the sword? Why is everyone so afraid of speaking the truth?

Our very own wazuan member, Alphdoti FULLY supports the implementation of Sharia Law to all, Muslim and non-Muslim as he believes this political system is the perfect way of life.

I believe its time to take political correctness and toss it in the garbage can where it belongs!!

This primordial fear of Islam that exists in our society goes back more than 1400 years. This constant brutality over the centuries has produced in our collective minds the equivalent of the abused dog, the beaten wife and the raped child.

To give you a taste of how Mohammed spread Islam throughout Europe and North Africa during the so called "Golden Age of Islam", which was actually a reign of terror, here are a few examples. Were it not for the Christian Knights of Templar, the entire Europe would be Islamic to this day.

In the 7th century, Mohammed sent Khalid out and the sword of Allah to the Jazima tribe to offer Islam, they refused, he annihilated every one of them.
At the battle of Olayis in Iraq for two days he spent out rounding up the losers, put them in a dry stream bed and cut off their heads until the stream ran with blood. Khalid then took the captain of the Zoroastrian Persian tribe, his wife was there. He cut off the man’s head, let the blood drain into the soil and raped his wife in the bloody soil.

This is the nature of jihad.

In Spain, after one battle, there were, knights heads were cut off and they made a pile so high that a man on horseback could not see over them.

No civilizations has been spared from the brutality of Islam.

Tamerlane, an Islamist and one of the most evil men who ever lived beheaded massacred 90,000 Hindus in one day.

I will stop there for today. Hope you get the picture now. Friends, this is how the Middle East and North Africa went from being majority Christian to majority Muslim through persistent, brutal attacks until all these lands fell to Islam. Through the sword, convert or die. That is the nature of Islamic JIHAD.
