Now this RON number business:
There's RON, MON and AKI (Research Octane Number, Motor Octane Number and Anti Knock Index)
Europe, Australia use RON
US, Canada, Brazil use AKI which is the average of RON and MON.
The Shell V Power in Kenya should be RON 98 (there's more than one variant). Translates to AKI of 93-94
It's important to know which index/number one is referred to when talking about octane rating, otherwise one can mix 'em up.
I would think regular is RON 91-92 and super/premium is RON 95
We import a large chunk of our petrol refined so unless there's 'mischief' enroute... the numbers should be reasonably accurate
And as mentioned it's all unleaded.
