Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

I was a KQ supporter. Until I saw the light. It was run by a greedy board & management. @proverb had data I chose to ignore. Bad move. @Madam Admin - This Eastlander by the name @ProverB deserves a new rank. Do the necessary. He fought an unpopular war. He took on the popular belief at the time head on. He swam against the tide. kuna mtu anataka kuniharibia jina.. i never sold KCB to buy all of my KQ.. already had a significant chunk prior.. and I have not given up on my portfolio.. my average buy price for KQ is a mere KES 9.40..

Ahhhh! @MaichBlack stop digging up those awful memories I had repressed when one conman by the name of MM put an unlubricated broomstick up my *where the sun never shines*... The jamaa did not even have the courtesy of using a prophylactic. Or lube. BTW, KQ wasn't far behind but I lucked out when I sold off at 13-14. Greedy when others are fearful. Thanks @Maich.. It is a living thread indeed. History is good, especially when one uses it to avoid repeating mistakes of the past. Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

So @obiero ... you say Loss Before Tax of 6.5bn for FY 2014-15 but if the 1H had a 12.5bn Loss Before Tax, where did KQ get/make 6bn from in 2H? Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett
