The old Moi system had been perfected over a long period of time, and since our constitution is one of the most progressive in the world, I am sure the A materials who drafted it got it right - we just need to give it time.

You call those nincompoops an A-class materials?
Guys who thought changing the name from NSIS to NIS would improve security!

1 was from tz,caught within the compound..
1 was an employee of the uni. with legal kenyan docs.- scary.
1 was arrested by students after 3 of them identified him as being one of the attackers. He was staying in a nearby hotel next to the Airstrip.
2 were arrested while attempting to flee garissa early in the morning.

In short the terrorists must have been more
in number.

NKT!!!!!!!

What's worse, his ringtone was one which shababs use during trainings. I am sure you know it because it sounds ghostly and reminds one of death.
Cops also found serious communication btwn him and their leader prior to the attack.
Kikulacho...

He didn't even bother to hide. Couldn't the authorities have found these details before the attack? This is thoroughly annoying.

Uuhm just asking, Is it a crime to have such ringtone? unless one is keen,it sounds like another wolalo dirge of dancing with death.

To the slain muslim watchie,kudos.

My two cents on way forward:
1. Cripple Somali economy in Ke.
2. Militarize the NEF.
3. Make military drilling part of high school carriculum so that the young one are equipped to handle emergency situations immediately.
4. Make NIS an executing agency with full police powers and privileges.

7. Hefty rewards for useful intelligence

Citizens having military training is a brilliant idea. In Norway, by law, all citizens are required to do one year military service, they then choose if they want to stay or get out. This is so that if there is a threat to the nation, they can easily mobilize civilian armies. People there carry rifles like its normal, there are shooting ranges where families hang out during the weekends.

Question here is gun handling, will e.g. Each school have gun lockers? If those kids had arms and training, they'd have taken care of themselves. The first bullet to ring is the alarm that will lead students to be ready.

Recce with dedicated choppers is something that I too wanted to suggest. Why did it take the whole day for them to be deployed? Yet we see how quick they finished the job.

The other points by both of you are good too, just need n.o. 1 to be explained.

To learn that one of the attackers is a chief's son, scored an A- in KCSE, graduated from UoN law school and Was a legal officer for First Community Bank is shocking!

Nothing like poverty or historical injustices here. RELIGION is the PROBLEM

Whats there to be disappointed about, we voted in the constitution, and whenever a change comes up we throw water at the speaker, and make war cries in parliament.

Now we are all in arms over the delay in commands at the forces after we shipped out our top cop to the hague due to the same.

We can only hope that with time the changes will work out, because no matter how much noise we make, we are stuck with the current structure.

A good % of revenues generated by Somalis in ke are sent back to support these kebabs. Boycott their goods and services and you will starve those thugs in Somalia to death.
