The intel is always there, the problem is guys to act on it again as someone said ours is to not a preventive but react-ive police force.

are you sure that there was intel on this ? what's the difference between a rumour and intel ?

Boss, intel was available and it was no specific.
1. UK and Australia issued travel advisories against us warning their citizens of an impending attack.
2. UoN and other universities specifically informed students to be extra vigilant and report suspicious persons to security officers.
In response, PORK blasts the west for travel advisories and we are caught pants down.

Literally in the case of the haplesss students!

how many hostel does the university have, going by hostel structures, its very hard to hold 500 people hostage, kwani moo wangapi?

To say unaccounted for does not mean its the number under hostage, in emergency situation we only account for those who have physically been registered, meaning if some students fled the area without registering they are still unaccounted for

True, most likely scattered in all directions. But it's sad there is no procedure on action in emergency situations.

Estimates at 70. I guess we await the official count.

You know that you are in trouble when security warnings are issued even mentioning the exact location of imminent attack and the type of institution being targeted. Then you have only 2 security officers manning a gate.

You know you are in trouble when you see those rolling tanks going into a compound in which you have heard there are hostages.

You know you are in trouble when the media in Kenya continues showing nigeria movies as more than 70 Kenyans are mauled by madmen.

If anyone still believes this gov't is serious about dealing with security issues then you know you are in trouble.

Heck lets go on with this kameeting with these loaded people.

Garrissa is not Westgate so no media coverage is necessary. Kwanza who told those fellows to go study so far away? Oh by the way, lets issue those warnings about gory images. We shall show those terrorists

70 Kenyans died today. Only CNN and BBC seems to understand that this is a catastrophe.
