@Wamunyota, what do you mean by saying that when Mungiki started is subjective?

Well, I concede that it could have began way earlier than the eighties. But here's what Wikipedia has about them http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mungiki

That is, by 2006 mungiki was hardly looking for an entry point in Nairobi for example. Their intentions were more or less known.

Mungiki has metamophosised over the years.When it started it wasn't even called mungiki and had close links with the children of maumau who were sidelined by the collaborators.

Question is:Is sonko rescue team like Mungiki?Yes.
Do the stupid people in Eastlands hate Mungiki?Nope.In fact they provide amenities such as water,electricity and security.Actually sonko rescue team could be in a joint venture with the Mungiki.Sonko has matatus and we all know who run the matatu industry.And by the way these people give credit to ending the PEV of 2007/2008 than the government-Kiguoya.

Hahaha! First, you'll agree that giving 'freebies' in any place didn't create or form mungiki.

From your description of what Mungiki did in 'Kosovvo' one can infer an organization was promoting its services/products.

Is Mungiki like any other organization? Yes. But the differences do matter!

In all these things you're saying it emerges that there are no 'freebies'. You're using a marketing gimmick and insisting it as a fact.

So what should the stupid people of Eastlands do to please your wisdom? Form a counter vigilante?

That why people have an issue with Sonko's team, they are carrying out services that the Goverment has been collecting taxes to do but aren't, kind of a misplaced anger.
If you stay ready, no need to get ready.

So which is the lesser evil?
The main reason why we have the rise or sonko rescue team,mungiki and other vigilante is beacause the legitimate government is unable to do what is supposed to do.These are gaps that these vigilante takes advantage of.
They have neglected the basic roles of any government which is what the stupid people from Eastlando require.
