Hi , anyone know the hurdles and processes for importing foreign beer e.g faxe to Kenya for distribution? insights appreciated.Thanks.

I agree with these imports, but I find retail pricing too exploitative.
they are always charged more than twice the retailing prices in their home market.
Problems can be very complicated, solutions cannot be.

Centum acquired Almasi beverages to do just that import foreign beers and distribute. Rumour has it that the have sole distributorship of Carlsberg among 2 other beers. importation iss from a plant in Turkey- cost at the port plus duties is aound 80 bob per can. The current brands, FAXE, Bavaria are being done by some mhindi, not sure who and off course some taxes have not being paid.
If you can do mhindi style, import by volume then you can compete otherwise Centum will probably have the distributorship for the rest of the brands.
