So sad what is happening to "dissenting voices" in Kigali.

Poor David, such a friendly, selfless man and this is what uncle Paul does to him?

People should respect the law.
I respect a dictator who dictates good things.

@Alph this confirms my suspicions... You have a psycopathic personality.

If you go to Kigali, you will attest to the fact that there is ORDER!. Rules are followed and systems work.

I would go for that any time over the confused mess, overrated constitutional rights and Generic Chaos that Kenya has slowly turned into.

@sparky, that same kind of careless utterances led to Rwandan genocide, and the same loose talk that landed the military officer David Kabuye into jail. If you were in Rwanda, you would be his room mate right now.

@Alph even if you have been in Rwanda, I can tell that you have not visited for longer than the amount of time it takes to appreciate the clean streets and "tight" security!

There is trouble in paradise, similar to the Soviet "Great Purge" of 1934-39.

Meanwhile the global community, out of pity and guilt for not having aided Rwanda at the time of the genocide lets a select RPF elite get away with serious Human Rights abuses, against fellow Tutsis.

@Sparkly - You need to read about the leadership style of Lee Kuan Yew.

He did not take any bull crap from busy bodies. Some called him authoritarian but what he did for Singapore I doubt there is anyone who can match it anywhere in the world. Singaporeans loved him till his death. I loved an interview he did with CNN's Fareed Zakaria some time back. At one point he told Fareed "I don't take instructions/advice from theoreticians on democracy. I use first hand principle. What will get me there. No fights among religions, races etc. Equal opportunities for all...". I will try and get you the clip. Make sure you watch it.

To achieve goals and and achieve them in a timely and cost effective manner, you have to run a tight ship!!! This applies to private sector. The same applies to public sector/government.

Theoreticians...

Dehumanized existence??? Visit Rwanda and see the level of their pride of being Rwandese and compare it to the pride exhibited by Kenyans including yourself!!!

Let us not lazily bandy phrases and theories around in an attempt to make a point where none exists!!!

The economic growth people talk about is a mirage according to a former economic advisor:

"Because of its small tax base, Rwanda is dependent on foreign assistance. Of the national government's $2.4 billion budget for 2014/2015, $777 million will come from development aid from overseas. Rwanda has the highest foreign aid per capita in east Africa - $77 per person, compared to Burundi's $53, Kenya's $61, Tanzania's $59 and Uganda's $46.

There you go again with your theories!!!

Have you ever seen a proud person who is living a dehumanized existence? The first casualty of 'dehumanized existence' is pride of being!!!
