He did not take any bull crap from busy bodies. Some called him authoritarian but what he did for Singapore I doubt there is anyone who can match it anywhere in the world. Singaporeans loved him till his death. I loved an interview he did with CNN's Fareed Zakaria some time back. At one point he told Fareed "I don't take instructions/advice from theoreticians on democracy. I use first hand principle. What will get me there.
