About turn

Wekeni link ama the prices here.

I have searched the interweb (I know a fellow who calls the Internet 'the interweb') and there is nothing. Labda nyinyi nakusa sikia kwa retio!!!

Petrol up by KSh4.75 to 89.46, Diesel up by 68cnts to Ksh76.20,Kerosene up by sh3.35 to sh55.75.

What are these characters smoking at ERC???? What happened to our two months delay?

Had we hit the bottom? Had the benefits of the lowest prices so far been passed to us? Did prices go up in December???
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Nobody answers all this questions in a cartel country.

still high. crude has fallen over half!

ERC tries to give an explanation on Page 27 of the DN.
Basically:
International crude down by 57% but super petrol down by 20%. Reasons:
(1)Taxes & levies
(2)Distribution costs
(3)Supplier margins

On the above, add the fact that imports are $ based & its imported already refined.

plus the time lag aspect, this batch was bought using november prices

Hope when it starts going up prices will keep going down for at least two months!!!

Word!

That's the only way to prove they are not bullshitting us.

Two months straight with crude prices going up but pump prices in Kenya going down. waiting...

ION - ERC employees have started posting on this thread.

@McReggae - The clowns have failed an extremely simple exam.

They give us the two month time lag bullshit story when prices are falling and when prices go up in February they are promptly loaded on to March prices!!!

This bunch should be investigated!!! Some people must be eating some serious turkey! This is not chicken!

TZ do, fuel price has reduced. Rwanda fuel reduced. Not the same in UG. Everyone here, in the investor forum at least, should by now be knowledgeable about an oil and USD/KES chart and trends this year and apply some technocratic thinking...

The controls were put in place to protect from increasing prices of fuel, on the same note I was expecting the downward trend to be control free and follow market forces.

Self regulation WILL NOT WORK!!! ERC sets the MAXIMUM price not MINIMUM. No one has stopped the companies from selling at a LOWER price. If they were angels as some people imagine, they could be selling the fuel at a much lower price than the set maximum.

What is needed is a transparent system such that anyone can create his own spreadsheet, and be simply keying in the different price components and announcing to themselves the price for the next month!
