Just thinking....has parenting become too hectic that we have to send 8 year olds to boarding school?

Eiiish.

I think that is just plain hatred to send you 8 year old or even 12 year old kid to boarding.

Why would you do that?
If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

I call it irresponsibility!!
The kids went into the dorm to collect their boxes and never got out. At their age they do not even have proper judgment. They need a lot of guidance and of course the teachers cannot provide the attention they need.
Very sad indeed.
Lord, thank you!

I have often heard the statement that boarding schools teach children to be independent and responsible. Let me describe this in a word I learnt from @Alma yesterday - Bullshit!!! Why cant we parents teach our children this values? Because we are running away from responsibility.
Lord, thank you!

Kids need emotional support from parents till the teenage years at least. I consider sending them to boarding schools before that age to be cruelty to kids.
Great men are not always wise, neither do the aged understand judgement...

Some parents take their children to boarding schools so that they can continue with their bad social habits; umalaya, wizi, unywaji wa pombe and fighting amongst couples. I went to boarding school when i was 12 years but at least at that time, i was a bit mature. My friends who started boarding at nursery school have ever since been always on the wrong side of authorities and being rebellious!!
Enjoy every moment of your life, you never know when your time will come.

The teenage years are most important when it comes to direction from parents, its at this period where most make or break their futures.
parents should stick with their children until such a time that they can legally make their own decisions - kama huko majuu.

That's cruel, my kids will not attend boarding primary school and even in the day school they won't wake up at 5 am to go school plus no extra tuition.
