Morality aside and for pure argument's sake, recording your colleagues in secret is a very shortsighted and very bad move.
This is stupidity of gigantic proportions on Ababu's part; he will win this battle, but will lose the war. I find it impossible to see how Raila or any other party member of weight will ever trust him again.
He will find himself an outsider to strategic planning, nothing of any substance will ever be discussed in his presence again.
Examples abound. Githongo, Edgar Hoover. Githongo's case one can understand; the man has high integrity;
Ababu is bent and by all indications wants his snout firmly stuck in the trough. He has slit his political career's throat.
