There is a common power hungry denominator to most major acts of violence in Kenya so "quit trying to whitewash history because we keep repeating the same mistakes."

Whether Raila got 60% of the votes cast in 2007 or not the president had been decided before the elections, same to 2013, that's where the madimoni statement emanated and they shafted Messi. Elections in Kenya is necessary formality exercise and a way of showing the west that we are 'democratic'.

All the parties pick their pork candidates in some boardroom deal, to that extent you are right. How a candidate fronted by some fat cats ends up winning instead of another is an entirely different matter, really
