@AmHere, not really Britain doesn't have a constitution.

Muganda, that's RAO's party ODM thro' Musalia, source Capital FM and Daily Nation. Do we really need Kofi Annan back here?

@mkonomtupu

I thought the coalition has its own mechanism of resolving disputes enshrined in the accord. What has happened? Is our man alone in this committee and therefore he has to look elsewhere beyond the accord?

Bringing in AU will be hard. The issue of soveriegnity is taken very seriously. The other principal is the only one with authority to invite foriegners over local matters like he did during the PEV era.

@mkonomtupu thanks, @sage interesting; my point on the other post was it's easy to forget the issue and focus on politics. Now "Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy." ~Ernest Benn

See how much has been spent on 'nation building' today - politics takes us nowhere. It would have been much better if they were fired - positive result - and then you leave politicians figuring out the politics as I believe happened in the judiciary purge or KICC.

@the sage - I am well aware of that. My point is let us sort out the constitution or if you may, the principles that define the structure of government. Then we can finally get rid of these 2 centres of confusion and be weaned off Annan-dependency.

I have just been looking at the constitution and the national accord Act(which is part of our const). Available at kenyalaw. section 6 The coalition shall stand dissolved if 10th parliament is dissolved, the coalition parties agree in writing or one coalition partner withdraws from the coalition by a resolution of the highest decision-making organ of that party in writing.
Section 8 The Act shall cease to apply upon dissolution of 10th parliament or a new constitution is enacted whichever is earlier.
What's your interpretation?

Do you pay KTN or Citizen for the service? Then probably no...

One can only hope that Raila's sojourn to the Thailand will act to cool off the political temperature he raised and bring sanity to the market.Atleast this will give investors time to cut their losses at the NSE because for sure there is no end in sight for this political game of musical chairs,not until after 2012 and that is assuming that it wont come earlier.
