Unlike other animals human beings have the insatiable desire to explain stuff that they observe as happening around them. That is how we live, that is how we grow - we explain stuff! why does it rain? why do people die? where do people go after death? where were children prior to conception? These answers generally change once new information/facts about the subject matter changes and we accept these positions and forfeit what we always thought was the hitherto explanation of what a certain phenomenon took places. so the 'smallness' or 'bigness' of a mind is actually assessed on the explanations it gives to justify/explain stuff that they observe as happening around them... Atalaku wrote:...and what are you going to do now that he didnt get it? Rig out the president of Namibia and put kibaki? so I forgive you since based on the knowledge you have on this matter or inability to accept contrary information on the same - this is how your small mind explains political loses. To win this you have to be a sycophant of west first and foremost it was actually a blessing in disguise. i know a guy who would have demanded half of it else no peace. Smone would have taken MO to court as early as today claiming he has validated a stolen election. Mo's investment in the west would also start being targeted for supporting leaders who do not dance to west:s tune. Even jubilee should not have any fantasies about this prize

I may be very wrong on this. But after more than 50 yrs in politics to the highest level, I dont know of any child or children for whom Mwai Kibaki has paid school fees from his pocket. Or any particular public project he has funded from his pocket. Or anything he has done for the common man wih money from his pocket. I say again I may be wrong because I dont live with his family and I dont know where his money goes when it leaves his pocket. But if I"m right, then I can say that God must have found it alittle difficult to put another Ksh450 million in such a pocket.....Guy is as mean as a wolf! Should 'leaders' spend their 'salaries' on the needy? I care!

A kikuyu president/prime minister/head of government will NEVER win such award in your tattered life-span.

The award should be for African presidents who hand over power peacefully. Kibaki did hand over power peacefully, he however was just not willing to hand it to a non member. He however deserves to get the award, he really widened the political space and free speech for Kenya. "The purpose of bureaucracy is to compensate for incompetence and lack of discipline." He however deserves to get the award, he really widened the political space and free speech for Kenya. Then the next Award should consider those presidents who hand over power to non "nyumba members" so that people like @RAO could have a real chance of leading this great nation.
