One of unfortunate things about Kenya is that among the true heroes of the second liberation. Yaani the people who put their neck on the line to fight Moi for democracy, none ever got to govern. Instead we are governed by the very same people who have always supported Moi.

The real heroes of the 2nd liberation were aside from Matiba, Oginga Odinga, Muliro, Shikuku, Orengo, Raila, Rubia, Koigi..............

These people quite literally put their necks on the line at a time when dissidents used to disappear mysteriously and were never seen again, some languished in detention for years, the lucky ones escaped to Norway or wherever.

A healthy Matiba is one of the best presidents Kenya ever had.

I don't think that there is anything unfortunate about the big names in 2nd liberation not getting to govern.(Where govern=be President)

Not unless you tell us they were not fighting for the liberation of Kenya and liberation of our minds but were fighting to be in power!

I am also not convinced that good freedom fighters always make good leaders

Thats not what Ndii said. He did not even mention the word "incorruptible" he is saying that UK and Ruto are so beholden to the old system that they have no incentive to fight corruption. In other words they cant fight a system from which they have benefited immensely. How can UK fight land grabbing when his family is the number one land grabber?

When UK was in the opposition, he never acted as an opposition leader. The main job of an opposition party is to keep the ruling party in check. UK did no such thing. In essence, between 2002 and 2013, Kenya had no opposition party.
