Yaani the people who put their neck on the line to fight Moi for democracy, none ever got to govern. Instead we are governed by the very same people who have always supported Moi. The real heroes of the 2nd liberation were aside from Matiba, Oginga Odinga, Muliro, Shikuku, Orengo, Raila, Rubia, Koigi.............. These people quite literally put their necks on the line at a time when dissidents used to disappear mysteriously and were never seen again, some languished in detention for years, the lucky ones escaped to Norway or wherever. A healthy Matiba is one of the best presidents Kenya ever had. I don't think that there is anything unfortunate about the big names in 2nd liberation not getting to govern.(Where govern=be President) Not unless you tell us they were not fighting for the liberation of Kenya and liberation of our minds but were fighting to be in power! I am also not convinced that good freedom fighters always make good leaders
