Scientifically; 0.125 acres = 1/8th = 55 feet X 105 feet (or thereabouts)

Therefore; 0.0625 acres = 1/2 of 1/8 = 27 feet X 53 feet (or thereabouts)

Subject property (based on the copy of title above)= 0.0213 Ha = 0.0526 acres (measures smaller than 1/16th as shown above)

Summary: in short am trying to say that if the subject property has the Title shown above, then the plot measures smaller than 40 feet X 60 feet. How such titles were issued should be a concern!!

From your calculations, 1/2 of 1/8 should be 27x105, or 55x53, not what you've written.

What is the average cost of s 50by 100 at Murera...is Ksh 400,000 a rip off? Considering buying there or here http://ruiru.olx.co.ke/g...kshs-only-iid-782716334 which I guess is near murera considering its in ruiru block 4. Is this deal good or bad? I read here http://www.a4architect.c...d-nairobi-2000-to-2013/ that the average return on land around Nairobi is 25% p.a compounded.

Ruiru block 4 is not murera it is sandwiched between juja farm and mwalimu farm.

Just a thought......
How comes land in Kenya is officially measured in hectares but when selling and buying area is given in acres and dimensions in feet. Aren't we supposed to be using the SI UNITS?

An eith of an acre (0.125 acres) should ideally be approximately 52ft x 104ft (or 15.9m x31.8m) or 0.0506 hectres

Hesabu haindagi hivio, if you take a rectangle and divide each side by 2 the you'll effectivly end with 4 equal parts.

Your conclusion Therefore; 0.0625 acres = 1/2 of 1/8 = 27 feet X 53 feet (or thereabouts) is faulty, you only needed to divide one side by 2.

True. 50 by 100 is taken to be half of 100 by 100. Paperchaser, too bad they dont teach all these at ADD

But even to a layman, imagine you had a paper measuring 100x100cm. Divide it into 2 equal sheets, what are the new dimensions?
