Fabio Cannavaro, Lilian Thuram and Gianfranco Zola are just a few of the greats to have played for Parma, but this week the club's players could face the harsh reality of having to pay for their own transport.
Serie A's bottom club are in dire straits financially. Their players have not been paid all season and the club, which has changed hands twice in two months, is in danger of not finishing the campaign.
Their home match against Udinese was called off on Sunday as they could not afford to pay for stewards or police.
"It's like being in a film. We've seen everything you could possibly imagine, with four different presidents this season," club captain Allessandro Lucarelli told Radio Anch'io.
"Today, we are starting our preparations for the match against Genoa and if there isn't a bus we'll get five or six cars together and travel in them."
