Hello Wazuans, Anyone selling cypress and pine timber.I need 4x2,3x2,2x2 and 6x1 for roofing.I need them to roof a house in Kiamwangi, Gatundu South so the closest to the project will be convenient and cheap.Below is the roof for preview.I am getting the actual lengths that i need. Divers - can you laugh in scuba gear, or will you drown? I was wondering. - James May.

I managed to visit the yard and very happy with the timber quality though the price never moved lower than what you indicated. I am awaiting on some funds to clear hopefully with the cash at hand i will be offered a better rate. Thank you. Divers - can you laugh in scuba gear, or will you drown? I was wondering. - James May.

If Kenmac has not responded, i can give you his email address and you discuss your timber needs from there. If you do happen to visit the yard please accompany or send the guy who will be building your timber structure (assuming you are a newbie to construction like me). The only email i have is a corporate email ,which i am hesitant to post here.I will however give Ken some time to respond and advise. If he does respond in 2 hours time i will post the email anyway in good faith. Regarding the timber quality ,i was happy with 70% of the timber ,my issue was when i was selecting 2x2 for ceiling the guys at the yard didn't give me a good deal for 'running feet timber'.This is due to them putting some very short pieces and never changed them even when my guy who was doing the roof requested them to work with a specified minimum length so as to avoid numerous joints. I would advise you visit the yard with your fundi and agree on the length of the timber pieces before even paying anything. Anyway i learnt my lesson and wiser now. timber is one hell you cant avoid while constructing..buying some 6 * 1 at every slab because fundis continue cutting your timber into small feet as you move on thus losing some feet
