C&P
The university council is chaired by Prof Sarone ole Sena and members include Peter Njeru and Daniel Mutua, a representative of the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury.

Other members include Archer Arina, a representative of the Education Principal Secretary, Dr Musangi Mutua, Donald Kimutai, Mrs Alice Mayaka and Prof Korwa Adar.

“The candidates were subjected to rigorous shortlisting, in accordance with the criteria set out in the university’s academic staff appointment and promotion policy,” explained the Vice-Chancellor.

Anyone who went to moi university should not pretend to be shocked.

Our RV brothers sense of entitlement was messed up by 24 years of nyayo error. The university is located in their home turf so naturally its theirs. They believe the VC, DVC and all HoDs should be homeboys.

You have seen it in the jubilee appointments. UMK is trying to throw an appointment here and there (ngilu, balala, olelenku) but for the other side.....

Way forward; leave the university to them. Entire admin, lecturers and students exclusively from the local community. They can even translate teaching materials to the local language. National govt can cut funding and let the local county govts fund "their" university. Let the graduates be employed in those counties and at kass fm.

And while at it, their leaders should let us know their plans to ensure they are getting their fare share of corpses at the MTRH morgue, and prisoners at the Ngeria prison, and beggers on the streets of Eld.

2022 here we come.

WSR must act and restrain people. I understand leaders usually follow their people and simply put villagers' arguments in proper English/Swa and in more palatable language but there comes a time when the interests of a nation are greater than that of a village

William Ruto...hebu jitokeze, jionyeshe, imara mbele ya nchi nzima!
Laughing out loudly smile Applause d'oh! Sad Drool Liar Shame on you Pray
