Nigeria were 'supposed' to have won 2-0. I wonder how he planned to ensure Kenya did NOT score..the bulkier Kenyan player in that photo with the match fixer looks like our star striker(I sure hope not!)..who scored in that game..they thought losing was enough..no wonder hawakulipwo! Laughing out loudly

Started long time ago.You would know of a former Kenya 1 keeper who is banned and can't set foot in Europe as he is wanted for match fixing while playing for a team in the Nordic.Sad smile
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

I doubt Kenya players were on the take. I recall that game and have actually rewatched it. Kenya played very well and should have beaten Nigeria.

But two of Nigeria's goals were highly suspect and were scored from what looked like an offside position. In fact that referee was blatantly helping Nigeria. Thats why harambee stars fans started to throw water bottles into the pitch. If anyone was bribed it is the referee.

I always thought when the evidence came out it would be the match officials given the blatant offside goal. However, it is hard to argue with the evidence thus far.

I havent seen any evidence that players were involved. That video is inconclusive. The supposed player in the picture could be anyone wearing a Kenya jersey. And what kind of player would pose for such a picture?

In Africa there is a long history of referees being compromised. I still think the referees were bribed not the players.

That particular game was one of the best harambee stars have played in recent memory. Oliech and Ake really terrorized Naija. Wanga was in fine form as well. This is the best forwardline combination I have seen in recent memory. Its sad that Ake's career was derailed by an injury he picked up in that game.
