Fellow Wazuans,

Has anyone ever been successful at claiming compensation for damaged electrical items following a power surge?

I don't know if I should bother with the effort, even though a couple of electronic items were fried during the downpour a few days ago.

yes. My old man made it to get compensated. Its usually easy when more than one household is involved (estate, court etc). They usually send their assessors and you have to repair/assess the damage 'professionally' then they refund the repair costs/replacement costs.

The same calamity befell me some ten years ago. I repaired my equipment then lodged a claim, attaching the receipts. I received compensation from their Insurers after some eight months.
