FORMER President Mwai Kibaki will today become the first head of state to build a presidential library at his alma mater, or university where he once studied.

The multi-billion-shilling facility is based at Makerere University, Uganda.

According to information released by the university on Monday, the facility will cost US$50 million (Sh4.5 billion).

File this under misleading news. Kibaki is not building anything. It is the university honoring. Kibaki ni mkono gamu mbaya Laughing out loudly . Forking 4B is just impossible.
All my friends are heathens, take it slow. Wait for them to ask you who you know. Please don't make any sudden moves.

The guy simply does not believe in charity. But he transformed our thinking, our country and the region. He has done better than a lot of charitable people and Makerere sees it fit to honour him. He is a firm believer of "Jitegemee" school of thought. It is during his reign that KRA came up with the slogan "Tulipe ushuru tujitegemee". The then CG Waweru read his friend's (Kibaki's) mind. Can one ask for more visionary leadership inspite of his shortcomings in the political front?
