The game was 50/50 possession.

Congo had a fair number of chances that they did not convert.

Ivory Coast had more integrity in making the most of their chances, as well as in not making much errors.
They tried to bury us, they didn't know we were seeds.

9 min from game over, Ghana was 3-0 up, game was stopped when fans from Ghana sought the safety of the pitch, after they felt unsafe in the stands.

I did not understand what all this was about!

The oga neighbours walitupiwa chupa za maji, they felt their dear lives were in great danger and reckoned the safest place for them was on the track next to the field - of course the game would not continue with them there and so they had to be safely led away before the game resumed for 3 minutes.

Both sets of players had to seek police protection on their way to the dressing room. Ghana players were pelted with foreign objects. Ghana fans were also attacked outside the stadium , some were hospitalized.

EqG fans had some genuine grievances. The referee decision on that penalty was bogus.

Now CAF is in a bind. The tournament was about to be canceled when EqG came to the rescue. So how will they react? Will they fine EqG heavily? Will they ban EqG? Hardly.

You can hardly punish your savior. Thats why they have gotten a slap on the wrist and will play the 3rd-4th place play off in front of their fans.

The Toure brothers, Kalou n some others can now retire in peace. Sorry that Drogba never won it.

But Ayew's tears, felt sorry.

Glad that Ghana and Ivory Coast did not meet during the knockouts.

CIV has underachieved for a long time. But they finally harvested the results of sound youth development. Almost half of them have been at Asec Mimosas academy since their early teens.

This final is a replica of the 1992 finals between CIV and Ghana. It also required over 11 penalties.

Egyptian police may actually be worse than their Kenyan counterparts when it comes to crowd controlled. Yet again 20 fans dead
