Seems the sleepers are made of concrete. Well, the Lunatic Express had wooden and steel sleepers. I hope the concrete class is good.

ION: Some of the heavy materials and spares are being transported cost effectively by the Lunatic Express; the two tracks lies next to one another on most of the sections...see the Lunatic train passing by!

Very impressed on the progress of this project...Was at Mtito Andei on Saturday and all along the way up to Sultan Hamud, it is a beehive of activity...Cant wait for the completion so that i can commute from shags to Nairobi daily...
