I'm no expert... but I know with MS office Word 2007 you can create, then... convert/publish/save a document as a pdf without having to go online.

You can download foxit Reader and it will enable you to create PDF from any document format.

If you are familiar with torrents, you can download Acrobat 9 Pro FREE from Pirate Bay (www.piratebay.org). It should take you about 2 hours with a decent connection (as in decent by Kenyan Standards).

I use Extended Pro, that allows you to incorporate videos, animated gifs,flash animations and flash applications to your pdfs.

But if you are....er...geek-ally challenged, I'd vote you stick to MS Office.

Hi there !
If you want to do some work on pdf creation and editing,etc,then i would suggest that, you can download Nitro PDF which is a commercial PDF viewer, creator, editor and converter application and also Infix PDF Editor which is a commercial PDF editor with word processor features and you can also download PDF Studio which is a commercial software for viewing and editing PDF documents.
