So I am looking to purchase a vehicle in the next month or so and I have been scouting around to find a decent one that I can use for business. For about 900k there are a couple of options at the Coast and I came across what seems like a decent Allion for about the same amount. Something struck me as odd however: the mileage. For a 2006 YOM vehicle, it purportedly has clocked ~52000kms, which struck me as odd because I'd expect it to be close to twice that amount (if not more.)
Now, I know most of these imported cars have had their odometers tampered with, but this case seems a little extreme. What someone advised was to check the chassis number against JEVIC's records to have a feel for what the real mileage may be closer to.
Is there anyone around here who has used such a service before? What is the procedure/cost?
I am a little scared of this car and am already thinking of looking elsewhere.
Any advice to do with this appreciated.
