The main cause of insecurity in any body politic is the inability of the citizens involved to meet their needs, and laws are too strict to the extent of rendering citizen effort futile. This will cause rebellion and anarchy even in wild animals.

This is the reason behind the fast pace the colonialists took towards our independence, and is the prime cause of the countless youth who are shot everyday.

This is the germ of Revolution, and corruption. Nay, terrorism.

The intelligence services, and law enforcement agencies meet their logical limit here, ditto legitimacy of government.

If we consider our beloved country we realize that form independence, ideas like 'African socialism' couldn't meet the demands on Kenya as a political and economic system. Dependence on imports and foreign aid, low productivity on the part of citizens has then assured that our country can't sustain high levels of security and political processes are corrupted.

Apparently, more legislation and tougher enforcement is likely to increase crime and insecurity and the general instability of the nation.

Tyscho, every Ward should have an office of the President, where inhabitants of that Ward register their addresses. Without this address, it should be hard to enroll your kid in school, it should be impossible to attain medical service, get a sim card, it should be impossible to get a Job. If we have this data, it will be even easier to plan for national matters.

Sounds like fascism. Feudalism.

I think you dont know the meaning of fascism.....

Have a look at this, where i live, i once had a disagreementwith a certain jamaa. The Jamaa threatened me with murder.I went to the police to report the case. The policemen told me to wait, they will go and get the guy. They had all his data, hiis Phone number, email address and residential address. They went for him and in 20 minutes he was being questioned. I came to realise that they also had all my data and they even knew in which hospital i was born. That is what is called security.

Generally, government is the greatest source of insecurity.
