What is wrong with ODM. How suitable is Moses Kajwang' in this race? What criteria was used in giving him the direct nomination? We cannot demand higher standards from others when we can't meet the same standards.

During my incarceration, ODM promised legal support. Ajim Orengo came. YES!! But that's all. I paid my own cash bail (Ksh 200,000). The party played pokcer with me and in the end, CORD leader and his men switched their phones off for me. I am not mourning about this because I wasn't doing it for CORD or ODM. I am just stating how conniving and mischievous these political players are.

The ODM party must not be so selfish that they listen to no advice. Direct nomination is not democratic. And Moses Kajwang's only communication now is that he is brother to Otieno Kajwang. We must never allow this.

Otherwise all of us who have never had relatives in politics might never get party nominations because it is now only sexually transmitted. My case is tired but I am yet to rest it.

Alai has raised very valid points regarding Homa bay by-elections. Democracy is dead in ODM. Even during the last elections, the top honchos at orange hse (Nyongo, late kajwang etc) ensured they disrupted party nominations so that they could be given automatic ODM tickets. The recent disruption was also well coordinated from HQ so that they could give the preferred candidate the ticket. That is why ODM has decided not to carry out nominations despite IEBC giving them more time as they had requested for a repeat exercise.

When will Nyanza people ever get to elect their leaders? Isn't it ironical that the community which has always been at the forefront fighting for democracy is never allowed to practice the same?

Direction Nominations are entrenched in the Party's constitution pursuant to a full mandate by a duly constituted NDC
Secondly even the Republican and Democratic Parties do direct nominations and that is where we say the bastion of democracy is
ODM repeatedly said:
1. They did not have the funds for a full constituent election.
2. The time limit in any event was too little to carry out a universal suffrage primary,
I am not saying Moses Kajwang is the best candidate what am simply saying is that this nonsense of saying because a candidate was given direct nomination the Party is not democratic is crap...
The Party has a NEC not for cosmetic purposes but to consider such decisions.
