There is a load of crap coming out here from some posters. The issue of the actual land ownership is rightfully in court. Like all land grabbing, it knows no political affiliation. If the likes of McR* and that other guy were honest, the same anger would extend to how CORD County government officials may have been involved. Use of tear gas on children cannot have been the best way to disperse the crowd neither can the use of toddlers in activism be the way forward, whether you like it not. The IG of Police or designate should swiftly act on this matter.

The Acting Inspector General has said the senior officer who led the Langata Rd operation has been suspended.

He has also condemned the use of school children in demonstrations.

Some parents had not authorized use of their children in the demos.

Langata Rd Pry Sch Headteacher asked to record statement with police on why children were allowed to join the demonstrations.

Gassing Kids was a terrible thing to do!Not acceptable. Allowing Kids to Push a 10 Meter high wall in the name of demo/evicting a grabber isn't a smart thing either. It is a bigger hazard than gas itself...

In your opinion, the headmaster has committed a greater crime by allowing children to push the wall compared to the people that gassed children and the land grabbers? Your statement is a stunning display of ignorance.

Can you read English or you can't Dude?

I said Gassing Kids was very Wrong, but having Kids Participate in felling a 10 metre stone wall is stupid by the school authorities..
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God..

We are living in very dangerous waters when someone can use words like "gassing kids" so nonchalantly.

These policemen are the people who are supposed to be our protectors and also above our petty arguments and demonstrations.

I have tried to figure out any reason on this earth where its ok to, let me use their words, "gas kids" I can't find them.

Hii apana. Apana na apana

They are children for God's sake.

Gassing because you got an order from above?

How do you even look at your children when you throw that canister? How how how?

Then you have the gov't apologists coming here to make the matter look tiny and the headmaster a total and complete villain.

Someone threw a tear gas cannister at a group of children. We are lucky we don't have dead children today.

Shame

What you said is very clear, as highlighted in red. You said that the kids pushing the wall is the bigger hazard than gas itself. You cannot spin your way out of this one, you Jubilee apologist.

That jinga OCPD now denies that there were teargas canisters lobed at the pupils........am i not mad?

I read elsewhere that Our Lady of Mercy Girls Secondary School in Shauri Moyo has also had parts of it's land grabbed.Best time for opposition to take the grabbing war to Uhuru and his Grabber DP but i turn and see two grabbers on that side as we;ll.We are on our own.God help Kenyans!
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Citizen- LSK names a team of 12 lawyers to probe police brutality against children at Lang'ata Primary School, wants implicated officers prosecuted.

Now can someone retain focus on the source of all this..who fraudulently 'sold' the land?..

Nairobi County leadership speaks:

"I wish to condemn in the strongest terms possible the action by Police today to throw tear-gas at demonstrators and children in the name of dispersing the crowd at Langata Primary school.

I personally do not believe that the land dispute needs to degenerate to a level of violence. These are our children and they need to be loved, protected and respected!

As the Governor of Nairobi City County, I am ordering that all Police presence be withdrawn, as there is no injunction or court order to the effect that Police be present.

The dispute arising is being addressed in a humane and non-violent way. The use if violence cannot be justified in resolving this matter.

The County Government of Nairobi is working on finding a solution to protect the integrity of both business owners and the public.

I would also request the public to refrain from inciting children in a bid to seek answers to the dispute. I am particularly urging parents not to expose their children to violence and or harm as has arisen from the scene."

Njunge the opposition is also a heaven of land grabbers. That's why they won't push this issue at all. Who knows some probably have shares.

So this is going to be the story

Activists incited children to demonstrate. I promise you even that opposition will use the same lines.

What they forget to say is that some of us are really proud of those children.

They stood up when someone tried to steal their playground.

As a reward, the gov't instead of giving them laptops, decided to tear gas them. In the meantime, all activists may be arrested and the headmaster will be transferred to Mogotio.

It's land grabbers united.

They will tear gas your kids and start saying the kids should have been in a classroom

We know better

Someone grabbed land and then went ahead and tear gassed mtoto wa myonge.
